He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Janet Risinger Akin; and his brother Donnie Day. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Hebert of Monticello, AR, Andrew Day of Arkadelphia and Lyndsey Moyers (Damien) of Portland; his girlfriend Amber James of Arkadelphia; his girlfriend's children, Ava, Isabella and Zane; his sisters, Teri Guess (Dana) of Oak Grove, LA and Gina Akin of Halifax, PA; and his grandchildren, Rylan, Alyssa, Roman, Maibry and Will. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Medders Funeral Home of Crossett (1564 State Hwy 52 W, Crossett, AR 71635). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at the Crossroads Cemetery.
