He is survived by: his wife Jerlene Brim of Arkadelphia; his children, Jeanette Carter of Sparkman, AR, Douglas Brim of Seattle, WA and Dr. Gloria Brim of Tacoma, WA; his daughter-in-law Janie Brim of Auburn, WA; and his grandchildren, Horace Carter, Jr. (Lane), Kaye Carter-Butler (Tony L.), Carmen Carter, Terrance Carter (Renetta), Ricky Carter, Rockie Carter (LaShanda), Shannon Brim-Armstrong, William George, Jr., Janay Harper, Javonya Stewart, Joi Stewart, Josuha Brown-Brim, Carmen Denham, Mark Green, Marvin Thigpen and William Green. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
