It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Leslie Hendrix of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, born in Stratford, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gipson and Dollie Mae Black Hendrix; his siblings, Zetta Mae Blankenship, Este Lee Hay, Bud Hendrix, O. V. Hendrix, Ivan Hendrix and Bill Hendrix; and his son-in-law Michael Maroney.
He is survived by: his wife Erma Murch Hendrix of DeGray; his children, Lora Hendrix Maroney of Arkadelphia and James Hendrix (Donna) of Morrow, OH; his grandchild Lanna Fendley (Ken); his great grandchildren, Wesley of Bossier City, LA and Sulley Fendley of Bossier City, LA; his grandson Seth Hendrix (Julia); his great grandchildren, Peter of Shreveport, LA, Isaac of Shreveport, LA and Joey Hendrix of Shreveport, LA; his grandchild Gip Hendrix (Caitlyn); and his great grandchild Jaci Hendrix of Haughton, LA..
