It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ernie Freeman of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, born in Curtis, Arkansas, who passed away on March 29, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Bassid Freeman and Lola Mae Jester Freeman; his sister Ernestine; his son Jim Freeman; and his brother-in-law Donnie Bettis.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Freeman; his sisters, Cleola McDill, Mayetta Wilson (Bill) and Evelyn Bettis; his children, Timothy Ernie Freeman (Jeri) and Jennifer Freeman Thompson (Curt); his stepson Robert Meeker; his daughter-in-law Stacy Freeman; and his grandchildren, Tonya Robb (David), Danielle Haddix (Jason), Shea Fogerty (Chris), Tyler Welch, Caitlin Freeman, Olivia Freeman, Walt Freeman and Hank Thompson.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
