He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Riggin, Jimmy Dean (Cathy) and Michael Dean (Kristi); his grandchildren, Charla Geddes, Tim Golden, Matthew Riggin, Christen Byrd, Andrea Dean, Ashten Plezia, Jenni Tooman, Micah Payne, McKenzie Dean, Taylor Harrison, Tessa Shaffer and Terra Moore; and his siblings, Connie Hodge, Joy Smith, Betty Sharp and Roy Dean. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to Ouachita Baptist University or Henderson State University.
