It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Johnson of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Browning and Lucy Smith Beard; her siblings, James Browning and Betty J. Newburn; her nephews, Anthony Newburn, Aubrey Newburn Preston L. and Johnson, Sr.; and her close friend Essie Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Preston (Beverly) and Laketha; her grandchildren, Janey Lewis (Mike), Javon Nash, Makayla Johnson and Jayden Nash; her great grandchildren, Laiyah and Kylo; and her sisters, Tina Browning, Vera Parks and Beatrice Martin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
