He is survived by: his wife Edna Wright; his stepfather Joseph Vann Newborn; his siblings, Clarence Harris, Winfred Harris, Joe Louis Hunter, Grady L. Hunter, Jr. and Yvonne Hunter; his sister-in-law Mae Lois Brim-Harris; his grandson Prentiss R. Hunter, Jr.; his great grandchild Pernell "Punch" Hunter-Gaines; his children, Prentiss Hunter, Sr. (Cindy), LeClayton Boyer'Hunter, Gregory Hunter (Charlotte) and TaJuana Hunter; his grandchildren, Ashley LaVine (Ashton), Sanai Hunter and Madisyn Hunter; his great grandchildren, Anaiya Ford, Amari Ford and Laila Nelson; and his brother Douglas Jones (Doretha). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
