Lois Barksdale Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Barksdale of Amity, Arkansas, who passed away on August 31, 2020, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Basley Kirksey and Elizabeth Deaton Kirksey; her husband Malvin Mynor "Pete" Barksdale; her siblings, Leonard Kirksey, Stella Lookadoo, Amy Thomason, Anne Marable and T. C. "Jack" Kirksey; her son Thomas Blake Barksdale; and her grandson Thomas Blake Barksdale Jr. Known.

She is survived by: her daughter Kay Barksdale (Michael Romine) of Seattle, WA; and her grandchildren, Cathy Roberts (Ricky), Johnny Barksdale, Mickey Barksdale (Kinley), Tessa Barksdale and Perrin Romine (Josh Gurian). She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 mandate face coverings and social distancing required. The family will be holding a Celebration of Lois' life next year in the Spring or early Summer when it is safe for friends and family to come together without the risk of the Covid virus.
