He was predeceased by: his spouse Claudette Short; and his siblings, Freddie, Eldon, Frank, Esther and Margaret.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Edward and Steve Adams of Mooreland, Oklahoma; and his siblings, C. D. Adams of Clinton, Jimmy Adams of Clinton, Albert Ochoa of Colony, Oklahoma, Mary Ruth Schultz of Michigan and Faye McElroy of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
