He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arthur Ruston and Ora Leta "Jackie" Almond Ruston; his son Jason Ruston; and his brothers, Jim, Bill and Clifford Ruston.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Howe Ruston; his pet Sassy; his children, Leslie Broyles (Matthew) of Fort Smith, Misty Ruston of Dyer, Amanda Ruston of Van Buren, Arkansas, Johnathan Ruston of Cecil and Joey Ruston of Ozark, Arkansas; and his sister Ann Hall (Donny) of Cecil. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
