He was predeceased by: his daughter Stephanie Newman; and his siblings, Earl Givens, Milton Givens, Norman Givens, Mattie Brewer and Sybil Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Givens; his children, Chuck Givens (Cheryl) of Altheimer, Scott Givens (Pam) of East End and Elizabeth Kelley (Gene) of Hot Springs; and his grandchildren, Amanda Givens (Amber), Taylor Givens (Megan), Tiffany Shackleford (Justin), Josh Newman (Emily) and Cory Givens. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
