He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thornton and Doris Thornton; his brother James; and his grandchildren, Bekah (Jamie) and Brianna.
He is survived by: his wife Sandi; his siblings, Charlotte and Thomas; his children, Chris (Lisa), Heather, Mary (Tyler), Sarah (Anthony), Christy (Chris), Valerie (David), Josh (Brooke) and Nikki (Cody); his grandchildren, Hayley (Brad), Christopher, Maddie, Macie, Murrel, Sadie, Dakota, Aimee, Bruce, Christine (Bryce), Bryson, Jackson, Cooper, August, Bonnie, Blake, Carter (Kaiya), Cayden, Lily and Olivia; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Bowden, Ashlynn, Will, Grant and Gage.
