With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Merle Barenberg of Alma, Arkansas, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Barenberg and Frances Barenberg (Thomas). He is survived by : his wife Shelly Barenberg; his children, Sarah Barenberg of Van Buren, Jessica of Fort Smith, Jacob Barenberg of Van Buren, Colton Barenberg of Alma, Michael Payne of Alma and Dustin Payne (Emilie) of Fort Smith; and his brother Keith Barenberg (Susan) of Colcord, OK.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ridgeline Church (330 Rudy Rd, Alma, AR 72921).
