Mardell Alice McClurkin Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2025, at the age of 86, Mardell Alice McClurkin of Alma, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Christello and Mardell Christello (Hibler); and her husband Reverend Herschel McClurkin. She is survived by: her children, Alice Hays Scheer (Blake Scheer) of Little Rock, AR and Herschel McClurkin III (Tammie) of Conway, AR; her grandchildren, Graham Patrick Scheer, Ella Hays Scheer, Emma Hope McClurkin, Siah Faith McClurkin and Hayes Ruel McClurkin; and her sister Rosemary Blasingame.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ocker Funeral Home of Alma Address (917 US-64, Alma, AR 72921). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (200 N 15th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Alma City Cemetery.
