He was predeceased by: his wife Denease Oliver (Balthrop); his parents, Isaac Oliver and Lucille Oliver (Gregory); and his brothers, Billy, Isaac, Bobby, Jerry and James Oliver.

He is survived by: his son Shane Cox (Shannon) of Murphy, Texas; his siblings, Earlene Painter (Johnny) of Kibler, Pat Oliver of Yoestown and Randy Oliver of Kibler; and his grandchildren, Hudson, Lachlan and Keaton.
