He is survived by: his wife Judith Young Hood; his daughters, Terra Hood of Huntsville, Lisa Hood (Bryon Berbaum) of North Carolina and Autumn Huitt (Sam) of California; his brother Larry Hood (Gayla) of Alma; his granddaughter Madelyn Hood of Bentonville, Arkansas; and his aunt Vida Sossamon of Ozark. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
