It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Della Jane Douglas of Alma, Arkansas, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carr and Mary Jane Cole (Edgin); her husband Dick Ray Douglas; her stepfather Ray Cole; her son-in-law Chad Escalante; and her siblings, Jim Pat Carr and Margaret Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Beth Escalante of Alma, AR and Dr. Rickey Douglas (Charlotte) of Alma, AR; her grandchildren, Cole Douglas, Jordan Malone (Cody), Molly Dunaway, Kerri Smith (Torry), Kelsey Siebenmorgen (Chris) and Chelsea Escalante; and her siblings-in-law, Joy Carr, Mary "Babe" Douglas, Phyllis Douglas and Billy Ray Dean. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
