He was predeceased by: his father Irven Tarkington; his daughter Cindy Louise Tarkington; and his brother Max Tarkington. He is survived by: his children, Ere Lisha Hapner (Max), Connie Lynn Rice (Tom) and Arlin Wayne Tarkington (Tammy); his stepchildren, Heather Hickman (Ted) and Michael Hickman (Elizabeth); and his siblings, David Tarkington (Emma), Charles Tarkington (Nila), Donna Turnage (Pat) and Mary Jean Carrol. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.
