It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Hurst of Alix, Arkansas, born in Clarksville, Arkansas, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Sawitsky and Margaret Simpson Sawitsky; and her daughter Leslie Anne Hurst. She is survived by: her husband Donald "Duck" R. Hurst of Alix; her sons, Ricky Hurst (Susan) of Alix and Randy Hurst of Alix; and her brother Billy Joe Sawitsky (Dana) of Alix. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and, seven great grandchildren.
