She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Clemons and Lorean Buck; her sisters, Jimmie Lane Strickland and Bobbie Jean Murphy; and her son Derek Melvin.

She is survived by: her sons, Sander, Cacelia Melvin, Conlee and Lakeisha Melvin; her sister Maxine Ritchie; and her grandchildren, Natalie, Alexia, Callen, Talyah and Lauren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
