He was predeceased by: his daughter Lillie Gantt Lyons; and his siblings, Clester Gantt, Stella Perkins, Caulde Gantt, Victoria Gantt Dobbins, Earnestine Gantt Brown and Hosie Gantt.

He is survived by: his children, Gloria Ann Gantt (Smith), Luenetter Gantt (Bobo), Roosevelt Gantt Jr., Bobby Ray Gantt, Charles Gantt and Tony Ray Gantt. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
