He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Austil" White and Lottie Faye McDonald White; his former wife Patricia Parker White of Brenham, TX; and his brother Jim White. He is survived by: his wife Heather White of Gainesville, FL.; his daughter Emily Garner (Michael); his stepchildren, Chris Barbour and Laurie Goff (Matt); and his sister Jane White (Peg). He is also survived by 5 grandsons, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, beloved cousins, relations, and valued friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ed's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

“We will miss Ed along with his continual friendly smile. One thing Ed really enjoyed was working in his shop restoring and tuning up his vintage vehicles. He was especially proud of his M37 Military vehicle that he had rescued. Ed was a friend and everyone he met liked him. He was always willing to lend a hand when he would notice one of us working on something. He offered his help even as he became less able.
