He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Towberman and Dorothy May Fry; his wives, Julie Ann Tew Towberman and Betty Ann Rice Tolbert; and his sister Shirley May Griffin.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Richard Towberman, Esthur Dawn Towberman, LaFawnda Raz (Tim) and Courtney Wright (Curtis); his siblings, Ralph Franklin Towberman and Mary Maude Ring; and his grandchildren, Sarah Ann Tirado, Alexis White, Angelina Wright, Kayla Wright, Dalton Wright and Brandon Wright. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
