He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Louise Martin; and his siblings, Nancilu Stuart, Ruth Potts, Mary Alice Butler, Bettie Pearson, James Edward Butler and Robert Butler, Jr. (Bob).
He is survived by: his brother Thomas Gilbert Butler; his sons, Stephen Butler (Angie), Jeffrey Butler (Leitha) and Rodney Butler; his grandchildren, Bryn Butler (Jennifer), Zack Butler (Brandi), Blake Butler (Jennifer), Taylor Butler (Kacie), Sarah Vice (Alex) and Issac Butler; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Reid, Nathan, Josie and Addie Butler.
In lieu of flowers, the family also requests that donations be made to the Paint Rock Seventh Day Baptist Church, PO Box 40, Paint Rock, AL 35764.
