She was predeceased by: her husband William "Jake" McElroy; her parents, Glenford Odette and Annie Lou Slaton; her brother Johnnie Wayne Slaton; her siblings-in-law, Billie Jean Slaton and Robert Jones; and her grandson Jacob Lamarque.

She is survived by: her children, Tracy McElroy (Becky), Justine Lamarque (Jeff) and Deanna Brock (Beau); her siblings, Shirley Slaton Jones, Linda Slaton Smith (Barry) and Donna Slaton Parker (Jim); her granddaughters, Katie Champagne (Cody), Valerie Steadman (Eric) and Hannah McDermott (James); and her great grandchildren, Callum Champagne, Audrey and Cecilia Steadman.

In lieu of flowers the family request a donation to "Just keep Smiling" in memory of Patsy's grandson Jacob Lamarque.
