He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Gable and Nancy Bass Gable; and his grandparents, Jimmie McManus and Thomas Joe Lee Bass. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Bass of Woodland; his children, Amanda Lynn Hanner of Roanoke, Kristian Hanner of Roanoke, Nancy Bass (Austin Knight) of Woodland and Joe Lee Bass of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Brandon Trey Ennis, Samuel Hill and Oaklie Reaves; his great grandchild Grayson Knight; and his siblings, Beverly Shellnut and John Bass.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Bear Creek Methodist Church Cemetery (23980 AL-48, Woodland, AL 36280).
