He was predeceased by: his parents, Jason Clarence Elliott, Sr. and Flora Mae Vaughn Elliott; his wives, Patricia Townley Elliott and Jeanette Huguley King; his sons, David Elliott and Joseph Raburn; and his siblings, Mary Mobley, Junior, Roger and Buford Elliott.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Elliott (Katie) of Homewood and Rhonda Markham of Winfield; his grandchildren, Graham, Parker, Reynolds, Clay Elliott (Kinsey), Meagan Lenahan and Deandra Owens; his great grandchildren, Grace Lenahan and J. J. Moss; and his sisters, Alice Grant, Linda Guy and Deborah "Cricket" Pridmore (Chuck).
