He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Cox and Mary Ellin Evans Cox; his siblings, Junior, Billy, O'Neal Cox, Mary Lou Burnett and Willma Fay Cox; and his brothers-in-law, Henry Cantrell, Dave McKinney and Ralph Burnett.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Cox and Kim Colburn (Darryl) of Hackleburg; his siblings, Charles Cox (Geneva) of Adamsville, Emogene Hunsinger of Birmingham, Margaret McKinney, Lynda Barber of Haleyville and Martha L. Miles (Jimmy Dale) of Winfield; and his pet King. He is also survived by 5 grand children and 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
