He was predeceased by: his significant other Jackie Burgess; his parents, John Burgess and Dreusilla White Burgess; and his siblings, Willie Weeks, Ethel Pate, Marlin Burgess, Claude Burgess and A. Burgess.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Burgess, Greta Burgess, Barry Burgess and Kevin Burgess; and his grandchildren, Kelly Black, Amy Wyatt, Tyler McGee, Brandi McDowell, Brittany Sellers, Emileigh Burgess, Alleigh Burgess and Annika Horne. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at the Winfield City Cemetery.
