He was predeceased by: his parents, C. S. Herren and Bopeep Hollingsworth Yureskes; and his brother Charles "Bubber" Sidney. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Herren; his children, Teresa Mobley (Trent), Angela Sandlin (Kevin), James Robert Jr. (Bernice) and Victor Lamar Herren (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Matthew Mobley, John Mark Mobley, Leah Giorgio, Sarah Nichols, Stephen Herren, Jonathan Herren, Amanda Davis, Ty Herren, Caroline Watson, Emma Mitchell, Hannah Herren, Maggie Herren and Ben Sandlin; and his siblings, Gerald Hugh Herren (Sharon) of Richmond, KY and Wanda Wasden (Bobby) of Georgiana, AL. He is also survived by other family members, church family, and friends.
