We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2020, Jerry M. Burgess of Winfield, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary and Arthur A. Burgess; his grandmother Tune Burgess; and his brothers, Jimmy, Joe and Ronnie Burgess.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hayes Burgess; his sons, Gregg Burgess (Chris) of Winfield and Wade Burgess (Lisa) of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren, Kyle Burgess of Jasper, Erica Michel (Anthony) of Vestavia Hills, Hunter Burgess (Kayla) of Bankston, Courtney Jones (Bradley) of Winston-Selma, NC and Mary Beth Melton (Hunter) of Vestavia Hills; his great grandchildren, Rivers Burgess, Waylon Burgess, David, Kate, Langston Michel, Alli, Corbin Burgess and Kennedy Jones; and his sisters, Carol Reed of Tuscaloosa and Marcy Norris (Aubrey) of Northport. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Citizens Bank Celia Grace Hamlett Fund.
