He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Kayla White; his parents, James "Bill" Howell and Irene Tucker Howell; and his siblings, Martha (J. B. Jamerson) and Larry Howell.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Lee Herren Howell; his children, Mark Howell (Marlene) of Jasper, Karen White (Tim) of Winfield and Jody Howell (Wanda) of Olive Branch, MS; his grandchildren, Daniel Howell (Martha), Rachel Woolard (Brandon), Breanna McGuire (Javan), Maegan Whitson (Travis), Tanner and Taylor Howell; and his brother Phillip Howell (Danna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, church family and close friends.
