He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis F. Hartzler and Erma Beckler Hartzler; and his brothers, Loren Hartzler and Galen Hartzler. He is survived by: his sister Nadine Webster of Winfield; and his nieces and nephews, Chad Bryant (Lisa), Tammy Brasher (Richard), Christine Sulym (Wally), Gretchen English (Dan), Danny Hartzler (Misty) and Arron Hartzler (Katie).

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First Baptist Church building fund.
