He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Lee and Margaret Frances Conner Stanford; his wife Ima Jean Lawrence Stanford; and his brother Doug Stanford. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandy Anderson (John) and Tammy McKellar (Tim); his grandchildren, Sarah Anderson, Clay Brasher (Kristen), Isaac Anderson, Macy Lott (Lynn) and Meg Stovall (Hagen); his great grandchildren, Thomas Clayton Brasher, Liza Jean Brasher and Campbell James Stovall; and his sister-in-law Cathy Lawrence. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winfield First Methodist Church (830 US-43, Winfield, AL 35594). The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
