She was predeceased by: her parents, Author Wates and Mary Sanders Wates; her husband Henry Oxley Henderson; her grandsons, Bobby Anthony Henderson and Jeffrey Alvin Henderson; her great grandchild Nathan Hill Henderson; and her siblings, Glen, Hershel, Earl, Bob, Marshal, Bill, Ellis Wates, May Hilton, Raye Adams and Frances Porter.
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Ann Ewing of Tennessee, Rita Faye Henderson of Winfield, Anita Kaye Cochran (Scott) of Winfield, Henry Alvin Henderson (Trib) of Hubbertville, Robert Ray Henderson (Lanetta) of Tennessee and James Michael Henderson (Jackie) of Winfield; and her brother David Beatty. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
