She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sullins and Alfa Cook Sullins; her husband Leamon Melton; her son Billy Joe Melton; her granddaughters, Karen Renea McAndrew and Kristy Jo Melton; and her siblings, Gene Sullins, Morris Sullins and Shirley Farris.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Grant (Gretta) of Conroe, TX; and her grandchildren, Christina Arthur (Eric), Jarod Grant, Matthew Grant, Dwayne Melton (Judy), Misty Melton, Leanne Melton and Steven Melton. She is also survived by great-great grandchildren and other family members and friends.
