Carol Jean left this world on January 12, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. V. Watley and Mary Watley; her son Jason White; her brother Raymond Watley; and her son-in-law David Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband James Scott; her daughters, Donna Gilbert and Deanna White; her grandchildren, Dylan Gilbert (Kali), Dalaina Hayes (Zack), Abby and Mason Holloway; her great grandchildren, Aurora and Magnolia Gilbert; her siblings, Walter Watley (Floy), Richard Watley (Judy) and Dorothy Royal; and her friends, Judy, Bettie, Joann and Cindy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, her church family and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Winfield Freewill Baptist Church (830 US-43, Winfield, AL 35594). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers Carol requested that donations be made in her memory to the Domestic Violence Task Force to help end domestic violence at Domestic Violence Task Force PO Box 951 Hamilton, Alabama 35570 in loving memory of Carol Scott.
