He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Aldridge and Imogene Weeks Aldridge; his wife Betty Aldridge; his children, Robert Gene Aldridge and Jeannette Hayes; and his siblings, Florence Chambless, Becky Sue Miller and Donald Gene Tidwell.
He is survived by: his children, James Matthew Aldridge (Debra) of Cottondale, Bonnie Hopson (Danny) of Winfield and Amanda Hayes of Winfield; and his brother Romie Aldridge (Brenda). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
