He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lee Payton and Sarah Mae Payton; and his brother Roger Bruce Payton. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Carol Payton; his daughter Jobie Payton Lynch; and his siblings, Ronald Lee Payton (Sylvia) and Cynthia D. Holt (Nolen).
