He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Batson Jr. and Elizabeth Pratt Smith Batson. He is survived by: his brothers, James L. "Jimmy" Batson III (Marie) and William F. "Bill" Batson (Judy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
