He was predeceased by: his son William Fletcher Gravitte; his parents, Cleborn Gravitte and Susie Gravitte; and his siblings, Jerry Gravitte and Karen Gravitte.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson Gravitte; his daughters, Jennifer Gravitte Gasque (Paul) and Angela Gravitte Tyler (Richard); his grandchildren, Heath Gasque, Allison Gasque Null (Tyler), Aaron Tyler and Sarah Tyler; his great grandchildren, Keegan Gasque, Adalyn Null, Harrison Null and Kaiden Null; and his sister Vivian Gravitte Dodd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
