He is survived by: his wife Loretta Mathis; his children, Ricky Mathis (June) and Terry Mathis (Wendy); his grandchildren, Tanya (Brandon), Lexie (Dalton), Madison, Cassie, Sheri (Jeff), Karen, Mark (Michelle) and Tammy; and his siblings, Harold Mathis (Betty), Annie Lois Baxter (Alvin) and Lavelle Mathis (Leavy). He is also survived by his 14 great-grandchildren.
