She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Travis Eugene McGowan; her parents, William F. Loewen, Sr. and Alice Modesta Loewen; her brother William F. Loewen, Jr.; her sons, Ronald W. McGowan (Shawnta) and R. Scott McGowan (Amy); her grandson Justin K. McGowan (Kassy); and her siblings, Christopher Loewen (Brenda), Michael Loewen (Karen), Timothy Loewen (Joanne), Russell Loewen (Laura), Robin Watson (Dale) and Deborah Carpenter (Jamie). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
