She was predeceased by : her parents, Ruthie Mae Minchew and D. J. Minchew; her son James "Bo" Freeman; and her siblings, L. B. Minchew, Grover Minchew and Druie Wilson.

She is survived by : her children, Elaine Jordan (Leonard), Peggy Hall, David Freeman (Rhonda), Tabitha Odom Mason, Timothy Odom (Desiree) and Bobby Odom (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Michael Hall, Cassie Hall, Marvin Freeman, Robert Freeman, David Freeman, Christopher Freeman, Kevin Jordan, Keith Jordan and Ray Jordan; and her sisters, Linda Crowder, Retha Heston and Margaret Rountree. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Saad's Hospice & Inpatient Retreat Facility, 1515-B S. University Blvd. Mobile, AL 36609.
