He was predeceased by: his son Murdock Larry "Bubba" Thomas Jr.; his parents, Murdock Thomas and Betty Thomas; and his brothers, Richard Thomas and Greg Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Fleming Thomas; his daughters, Melissa Thomas Trehern and Ashleigh Thomas Roach (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Brad Thomas (Jordan), Abigail Porter (Philip), Allison Roach, Hannah Thomas, Caleb Ridderbjelke, Brienne Thomas and Lauren Roach; and his sister-in-law Debra Thomas Rivers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Assembly of God (10976 Moffett Rd, Wilmer, AL 36587). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613).
