He was predeceased by : his parents, Forney Matthews and Thelma Trent Matthews; and his siblings, Pete Olsen and Helen Palmer. He is survived by : his wife Louise Miller Matthews; his sons, James W. Matthews (Karen French) and Paul T. Matthews; his grandchildren, Jacob Matthews (Mallery) and Allison Matthews; and his great grandchildren, Aleczander, Paisley Rose, Emma Grace, Becca and Kirsten. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
