With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Danny Bender of Wilmer, Alabama, who passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Rankin "Benny" Bender and Ruby Williams; his stepmother Lois Bender; his brother Tom Bender; and his aunt Virginia Nelson.

He is survived by : his wife Peggy Bender; his children, Troy Bender, Dannie Snodgrass (Jimmy), Brad Ledbetter (Dusty), Chris Ledbetter (Bonnie) and Tommie Bender; his grandchildren, Nicole, Brandon, Morgan, Zach, Jacob, Carson, Tommie Jr., Justin, Breanna, Zoey, Xander and Quinn; his siblings, Benny Ray Bender (Janice), Mike Bender (Sonya), Patrica Slater (Malcolm), Deborah Dodge (Brian) and Bruce Bender (Lori); and his aunt Willene Clements. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dan's contributions to his field were significant, and he retired with a legacy of respect and admiration.
