In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur and Madel Elizabeth Black. He is survived by: his daughters, Miranda Lyn Walker (Jacob) of Jasper and Laurie Beth Weldon (Wes) of Wetumpka; his granddaughters, Sadie Elise Walker, Katherine Mabrey Weldon, Aubrey Malyn Weldon, Ara Tess Walker and Wren Paisley Weldon; and his sister Elizabeth Ann Black.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Toulouse Park (2521 W Fort Toulouse Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36093).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Friends of the Forts, which can be sent to PO Box 1348, Wetumpka, AL 36092.
