It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troy Hubert Martin Sr. of Wetumpka, Alabama, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Martin and Earl Martin; his son Troy "Bert" Martin, Jr.; his siblings, Edna Oney, Ora Hall, Roy Martin of West Virginia and Bill Martin; and his grandchildren, Crystal Greer and Eric Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Martin; his children, Guy W. Martin, Prattville (Corliss) of Al, J. T., Richard Alan Martin (Susi) of Wetumpka, AL, David Ray Martin (Karen), Decatur, Glenda Miley (Michael) of Opelika, AL and Lydia Mulder (Joe); his brothers, Dewey (RoseAnn) of West Virginia, Carl Martin (Betty) of West Virginia, Jim Martin (Rhodean) of West Virginia and Larry Martin (Ann) of West Virginia; his granddaughters, Stephanie Aycock (Billy) of Nashville, TN, Jessica Woolfrey of Waynesville, VA and Michelle Tomlinson (Joey) of Sterrett, AL.; his great grandchildren, Mariella Aycock, Hazel Aycock, Ezra Aycock, Mac Tomlinson, Evie Tomlinson, Johnathan Lee, Parker Woolfrey, Reina Woolfrey and Charlie Martin; and his close friends, Robin Rand of Tallassee, AL and Dwayne Jones of Clanton, AL..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gassett Funeral Home (204 E Charles Ave, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery (64 Chapel Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36092).
