He was predeceased by: his parents, Anselm Rook and Clara Appel; and his brother John Rook. He is survived by: his wife Donna Rook; his children, Sandy Kennedy and David Rook (Trina); his grandchildren, Zac, Rachel, Katie and Jake (Carli); and his great grandchildren, Emma Halie, Ezra and James Scarlett.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gassett Funeral Home (204 E Charles Ave, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
